Starting May 1st, <\/strong>this is your opportunity to challenge yourself and climb 1 full vertical mile (5280 feet!)<\/strong>. You are welcome to climb any roped, auto belay, or bouldering routes that you want \u2013 the level of difficulty is not factored into this challenge.<\/p>\n

Leaderboards<\/strong> are broken up by age. The results are alphabetized and arranged by completion percentage\/completion date. Prizes will be awarded for the first challenge finishers in each category with a smattering of other prizes raffled off throughout the month. To climb 1 mile (5280ft), a climber must climb either,<\/strong><\/h3>\n

(commit to one, please):<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

40ft routes in the main hall.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

OR<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

30ft climbs in the kids’ area.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

How to participate:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  • \n

    All climbers MUST<\/strong> sign up for the challenge at the front desk or online.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    A Tally board<\/strong> will be posted in the crag where you\u2019ll be able to mark off your climbs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Auto belay routes count towards your vertical feet.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    COMMON CLIMBING COURTESY:<\/p>\n

      If anyone (adult or child) is standing wanting your climb (roped or auto belay), please trade off<\/strong> with them and give them a chance to climb that route \u2013 it\u2019s never nice to hog climbing routes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

      Honor System: You\u2019ll be tracking your own climbs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      1 climb = climbing up the wall. Down climbs will NOT be counted this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Climbs count in both our Denver & Castle Rock locations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Climbs will ONLY<\/strong> be scored in Denver, so please remember how many you did if you climb in Castle Rock.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
