  • Each route is assigned a point value based on its difficulty, with higher points awarded for harder routes successfully completed.
    • Route #1 is worth 100 points, increasing up to Route #30, which is worth 3000 points.
    • An additional 50 points are awarded for leading a route.
  • Climbers can try each route as many times as they wish within the allotted time.
  • Climbers that want to repeat a route need to move to the back of the line if one is present.
  • Climbers can mix top rope and lead routes.

Scoring & Honor System:

  • It is an honor system competition.
  • A climber’s scorecard must be signed by a witness to validate each completed route.

No Finals:

  • Top 3 climbs count towards the final score.

Additional Details:

  • Climbers pick up their scorecards when they check-in for the comp.
  • Climbers can arrive late & leave early if necessary.
  • Climbers will submit their scores via a QR code & Google Form.

Strategy Suggestions:

  • Primarily: Climb to have a good time, to push yourself, meet others, and overall see what you can do when a little pride is on the line.
  • Warm up strategically: Start on easier routes to build your warm-up before attempting harder climbs.
  • Route selection: Carefully assess the difficulty of each route and choose climbs that are challenging but within your capabilities to maximize points.
  • Time management: Balance attempting harder routes with ensuring you have enough time to complete a good number of climbs within the competition time limit.
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY: Redpoint style comps very much reward you for being skilled at reading a route, knowing your body/abilities, and watching and assessing how other people around you are climbing. The beauty of it is, you don’t have to be the strongest or the tallest or the most experienced climber to do well. Route-reading, plus endurance training, can get you top scores! And best of all Most of the BEST AWARDS are all given out raffle style – so again, anyone can win! You just have to try!
