Crag Akademie is our preparatory class that focuses on safety, good climbing habits & etiquette, and introduces climbing techniques.
These classes are a great first step in creating young climbers in your family and make a wonderful family activity!

When do new Jr. & Crag
Akademie classes open?
We open new classes every 5 weeks based on demand. Be sure to add your child to the VIP Booking List to be the first contacted about the next round of classes.
Enroll Your Child Here!
- Select the appropriate Age Category below on the left.
- Select the Information and Booking button within that panel.
- Add the number of Participants.
- Select the preferred Starting Date & Time for the 10-week class.
- Complete the Booking Details.
Important Details
Youth enrolled in any program at Übergrippen will be climbing with other children. This means your child will be belayed by another child enrolled in the program and your child will belay other children. It is important that you and your child recognize that climbing is dangerous. We take precautions by making it mandatory that every child is belay certified (meaning they have passed a belay test on 3 separate occasions).
If you are not comfortable with this, please do not enroll your child in our group programs. We offer private guided climbing and can also instruct parents on these same belay skills (enroll in our adult Learn to Belay class) so that you can supervise your child’s climbing experience directly.
