Members at ÜG Castle Rock are be able to climb at ÜG Denver, and ÜG Denver members are welcome to climb at ÜG Castle Rock for no additional cost and you are welcome to climb as much at both locations as you wish without any restrictions! You’ll be able to check-in at both crags the same way.

Free / Discounted Guest Passes

1 free guess pass per visit for any guest you bring who has never been to Übergrippen before (limit 1 per day). Your guest also receives 1/2 price gear rental on their first visit.  You also get unlimited return guest passes for $24.

Free Day Passes Once a Month

Your ÜG membership gets you one day pass every calendar month to each of The CLIMB Pass participating facilities any day of the month you want to visit them:

The Spot Trade Day

Your ÜG membership gets you one day pass on the 4th Friday of each month to any of The Spot Gyms:

Kids 5 and under are FREE

Your ÜG membership gets one child that is 5 and under to join climbing for free. When two adult members are present, they can each bring 1 child to climb with them. If climbing harnesses and shoes are needed for the kids, gear rental for them can be added to the adult members for $20/month – this is easy to add or remove when needed.

Discounted Gear Rental

Don’t own your own climbing gear? You can add gear rental to your membership for $25/month for an adult or $20/month for a youth climber. These gear rental costs are easy to add or remove whenever per month. For members that wish to save money with longer term rentals, we have special prices on both 6- and 12-month rental packages, too.

    Our Learn to Belay class will teach you all the technical skills you need to start climbing on rope with a partner.

    If you already know how to climb 5.10+ and belay on top rope, learning to lead climb and lead belay will give you access to our overhang wall.

Youth Programs Benefits

We provide discounts for all our youth members when they sign up for our camps, climbing clubs, birthday parties, and other youth program offerings.

Members also get Priority Enrollment with early notification on any Adult or Youth classes we have. It does help to sign up on the waitlists to show your interest for the classes that you wish to join.

Retail Gear Dividends

Just like REI, qualifying retail purchases earn you a 10% credit that is returned quarterly and can be applied to future retail purchases. We have the retail that we love and use and will be happy to help you with your purchases. Plus, with the same 10% benefit as REI, we just saved you a drive.

You can apply your 2 free hours to any of these classes:

  • Learn to Climb Class
    Our two-hour Learn to Belay class will teach you all the technical skills you need to start climbing on your own. This is an amazing class that will help you learn how to belay and maximize your experience with our facilities, as well as any other climbing facilities, too. 2 hours per Adult member.
  • School of Rock
    Our School of Rock classes provide a comprehensive offering of climbing classes for adults and teens (14+) that you can tailor for your personal objectives! Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned veteran looking to fine-tune your craft, we have classes specifically to help you understand how to improve your climbing.
  • Learn to Lead
    If you already know how to climb 5.10+ and properly belay, learning to lead climb and lead belay will give you access to our overhang wall. Most natural climbing walls in Colorado are bolted so knowing how to lead climb and belay can be extremely useful to helping you learn to climb outside.
  • Outdoor Climbing
    Lead climbing and lead belaying is important for climbing outside, but knowing how to properly clean your anchors is another important step.
