Crag Akademie Classes

Kids ages 6-13, wishing to join any of our Climbing Teams or Climbing Clubs must first complete our Crag Akademie class. Book your Akademie session below. Questions about Crag Akademie can be directed to youth@ugclimbing.com

Completion of Akademie does not guarantee a position on our clubs and teams. Team membership requires a ÜG coach’s recommendation and is subject to space and availability. Club membership requires Akademie graduation and available space. If space is full, children that are enrolled in OR have completed Akademie may be added to our wait list and will be notified when space is available. Akademie is a great way to create young climbers in your family and make a wonderful family activity regardless of whether or not your child joins a club or team!

Children enrolled in programs at Übergrippen (including but not limited to Akademie, clubs, teams, camps, after school programs) will be climbing with other children. Children will often be climbing partners with each other. This means YOUR CHILD WILL BE BELAYED BY ANOTHER CHILD ENROLLED IN THE PROGRAM AND YOUR CHILD WILL BELAY OTHER CHILDREN. If you are not comfortable with this, please do not enroll your child in our group programs. We offer private guided climbing (fees apply) and can also instruct parents on these same belay skills (enroll in our adult Learn to Belay class) so that you can supervise your child’s climbing experience directly.

Crag Akademie Schedule:

• Summer Session (July-September)
• Fall Session (October-December)
• Winter Session (January-March)
• Spring Session (April-June)
